Rebate Programs

 NWEC will issue cash rebates to qualifying members who replace or install new energy efficient air source heat pumps, ground source heat pumps or electric water heaters.  A limited number of rebates are available to members installing whole house generators.

  • Whole-Home Generator Rebate

    $1000 per application

    ● Minimum Specifications:

    ► 16 kW

    ► Permanently installed with switch gear - double-throw switches keep our linemen safe! View the co-op’s policy on double-throw switches.

    ► All electric HVAC system

    (Rebate is limited to first 12 eligible applicants)

  • Electric Water Heater Rebate

    $100 new unit or gas conversion

    $50 electric replacement

    ● Minimum Specifications:

    ► 40 gallon storage tank

    ► Uniform Energy Factor (UEF) of .90 or greater

  • Heat Pump Rebates - Ground or Air Source

    Ground Source Heat Pump (GSHP) Rebate*

    $250/ton new or gas conversion

    $150/ton electric replacement

    ● Minimum 2nd Stage Specifications:

    ► Closed or Open Loop > 15.9 EER & 3.3 COP

    ► Split System > 15.5 EER & 3.3 COP

    Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) Rebate*

    $250/ton new or gas conversion

    $150/ton electric replacement

    ● Minimum Specifications:

    ► SEER of 16

    ► EER of 13.4

    ► HSPF of 8.5

    *All units must be AHRI certified. Maximum rebate of $1,000 per application.
